Description

In this course, you will learn how to get to the CLI of a switch through an out-of-band connection using a console cable and a terminal app. You will learn how to set up a Cisco switch so that it can connect and control things on your network.

It is one of the best switches out there. Versatile, reliable, flexible, and powerful, the Cisco switch product line has the best performance and features in the world.

This course looks at the command line interface for the Cisco system through an out-of-band connection with a cable and a terminal program. We’ll then talk about how to get into the switch’s three modes, which are user EXEC, privileged EXEC, and global configuration. We’ll use commands to change important settings.

Make sure you know how to use the Tab key and the built-in help features, as well as when to use them. I’ll then go over the basic global commands that are used to set up important switch settings.

After we talk about how to address the switch and set up a default gateway, we’ll show you how to change individual port modes, secure those ports, and set up and manage virtual LANs (VLANs).

Finally, at the end of the course, you will learn how to check your settings and reset the switch if you need to do that. We’ll then go over some more things you should know.

If you finish this course, you will have a good idea of how to set up Cisco CLI Switch Configuration by the end of it.
