Description
In this course, we will Install SAP BusinessObjects programs, namely Information Design Tool (IDT) and Web Intelligence (WebI) – for free.
We will create a sample database in Access 2010 (although you may already have the database that you want to use), and then create a database connection to it.
We will then create a “universe” using the Information Design Tool (IDT), with a database Relational Connection, Data Foundation, and Business Layer. We will then enhance this business year.
We will then export this universe from IDT and open it into Web Intelligence (WebI). We will then create some tables and graphs while looking at the File and Properties Menu, Report Elements, Format and Data Access menus, the Analysis menu, and Page Setup, context menus, and formulas.
This is a quick overview of these two programs, following which you will have the programs on your machine, and can experiment for yourself.
By the end of this course, you should have a good introductory knowledge of the Information Design Tool and Web Intelligence and will be able to create your analyses.
I hope that you enjoy this course and that you find the SAP BusinessObjects programs useful for your work.
