Description
If you’re thinking of becoming a Software Engineer but would like to understand more about what exactly the work entails before making the jump to learn all of the technical skills, then this is the course for you.
In this course, you’ll get a broad overview of what exactly a Software Engineer does, and what their normal set of tasks looks like.
You’ll then also get a broad overview of how tech apps look like behind the scenes, by looking at all of the different components that make up a tech app, as well as also how this picture evolves with time. Then we’ll take a closer look into an individual service to see what components would make up a service that’s part of this app.
At the end of this course, you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of what exactly your work tasks would look like as a Software Engineer, as well as a broad understanding of the things you would be building and how those would look like.
The course does not include any coding examples and is purely meant to provide you with a better high-level overview of Software Engineering so that you can make a more informed decision about whether or not this sounds like a field you’d be interested in pursuing.
