Description
Connecting with a child can be challenging, especially when they are so different from us. Ancient Greek medicine gave us four basic types of people, or temperament types- Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholy, and Phlegmatic- each one unique and interesting. Understanding those four types and their strengths and weaknesses can help you determine which one (or more than one) fits your child. Having this information can then assist you in supporting your child’s needs, encourage their strengths, work within their weaknesses, and give you another tool for building a rewarding relationship with your child.
By the end, you should be able to name all four temperament types, identify which one(s) most likely fits your child, and understand how that innate personality links to how they feel loved and accepted. You will then get a few tips for connecting with each type.
