Description
The Map view entered the SwiftUI universe with the introduction of iOS 14. The view of the map has an integrated map interface. You may use the map view, which shows an area directly in the SwiftUI view. You may show or monitor a position in the map view, as well as interact with the map itself, using its various configurable options.
The SwiftUI map is excellent for opening maps and showing some of the fundamental map features, but it falls short of the UIKit MKMapView. The UIKit map, however, is simple to move over. In this lesson, we’ll start with a basic map and work our way through all the SwiftUI map functions that are given. Following that, we’ll look at some of the more sophisticated choices for map annotations and markings. Additionally, using just SwiftUI views, we will create map markers.
Different sorts of maps are not currently supported by the SwiftUI map version, but we can add that functionality by creating the UIKit version of the map. With the help of this map, we will be able to support the SwiftUI global map type.
We will also look into the possibility of adding a core location framework to help users track their location and subscribe to get published user locations as they move around the map.
